Daffodils you can wear

What if a flower could be embroidered, shaped and worn?
Daffodil Lace Jewelry is a small collection of 3D freestanding lace designs inspired by the graceful shape of a daffodil. The collection includes a larger flower designed as a brooch and smaller flowers that can be assembled into earrings.

But you don’t have to stop there.
Combine several flowers to create a delicate necklace, attach them to a belt, use them as a decorative accent on clothing or accessories, or invent your own way to wear them. The two designs are created in the same style, making it easy to mix the larger and smaller flowers into one coordinated arrangement.

The magic happens during finishing. After the water-soluble stabilizer is washed away, the flowers can be shaped while they dry. With the centers secured flat and the petals left free, they dry with gently curved, slightly irregular petals that give the finished flowers a surprisingly natural, three-dimensional appearance.

This is lace with a little bit of personality — no two flowers need to look exactly alike.

1. 3D Daffodil Brooch

A larger 3D freestanding lace daffodil designed as a wearable flower. The design includes the flower itself and leaf elements, allowing you to create a brooch or other floral accessory. The original design concept also allows the flower to be used as a hairpin or combined with different numbers of leaves.

2. FSL Daffodil Earrings

Smaller 3D freestanding lace daffodils designed for earrings. Each flower is assembled from lower petals, upper petals, a flower center and two leaves. The design is made for a 5×5″ hoop and uses four colors. ([Creative Fabrica](https://www.creativefabrica.com/product/fsl-daffodil-earrings/?utm_source=chatgpt.com))

Together

The two designs are intentionally coordinated, so the flowers can be mixed and matched for:
– brooches
– earrings
– necklaces
– belt decorations
– clothing embellishments
– hair accessories
– other creative jewelry and textile projects

Important finishing technique – shaping the flowers

This is worth making a prominent part of the technical information, because it is what gives the finished flowers their character.

After embroidery:
1. Carefully rinse away the water-soluble stabilizer according to your usual FSL finishing process.
2. Before rinsing, pin the center of each flower to something firm and waterproof, such as a plastic placemat/laminated lunch mat or a piece of foam.
3. Keep the flower center secured and flat while the petals remain free.
4. Rinse away the stabilizer.
5. Leave the flowers pinned while they dry completely.
6. Once dry, remove the pins.

The center stays neat and flat, while the petals dry in gently curved, irregular shapes. This gives the finished daffodil a more natural, flower-like appearance rather than leaving it completely flat.

INCLUDES 01 — Daffodil brooch, 3 designs in the package: the whole project, only daffodil flower, only leaves. Choose which one suits you best to create your daffodil jewelry.
02 — Daffodil earrings.
The two coordinated designs share the same floral style, so you can mix and match the larger and smaller daffodils to create your own arrangement.

A PDF Color Chart with technical information is included for each design.

Both designs are embroidered on water-soluble stabilizer rather than fabric. After embroidery, the stabilizer is washed away and the lace elements are assembled. The earring design, for example, is specifically constructed from separate petal, center and leaf elements that are joined after embroidery.
