Gifts in Lace is a collection of freestanding lace designs for making beautiful containers, pouches and gift packaging with your embroidery machine.

The collection brings together four different ways to give something special:
A lace Envelope with a decorative bow on the flap is sized for a standard greeting card and works for almost any occasion — Christmas, a birthday, a wedding, or simply a thoughtful note. The design is available for both 5×7″ and 8×12″ hoops.

Two Christmas gift Bags offer a festive way to present small gifts. One features three Christmas trees and the other a stylized poinsettia. Their open filet-lace structure makes the wrapping decorative enough to become part of the gift itself.

A lace gift Box begins as a square filet-lace doily. Connect the scalloped edges with a thin ribbon and it becomes a small openwork gift box. Use one embroidered piece on its own, or make a second one to create a coordinated bottom for the box.

A Tiny gift Pouch is a small, versatile lace container that can hold a pair of scissors, a tiny gift, jewelry, sewing notions or other little treasures. Its original design was created as a scissor case, but its possibilities go far beyond that first use.

All four projects share the same idea: the packaging is not something you throw away. It becomes part of the gift.

1. FSL Gift Envelope

A classic lace envelope with a decorative bow on the flap. The finished envelope measures 118 × 166 mm and is suitable for a standard-size greeting card.
After embroidery and removal of the water-soluble stabilizer, the pieces are sewn together to form the finished envelope.

The bow motif makes the envelope suitable for many occasions — Christmas, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or a simple handwritten note.

2. Christmas Gift Bags

Two freestanding lace gift bags for festive wrapping:
Christmas Tree Gift Bag.
A larger bag decorated with three stylized Christmas trees.
Poinsettia Gift Bag
A smaller bag featuring a stylized poinsettia motif.

Both bags offer a decorative alternative to conventional gift wrapping and can be reused as part of the gift-giving ritual.

3. Lace Gift Box

A square filet-lace doily that can be transformed into a small gift box.
Connect the scalloped edges with a thin ribbon to create the box. You can embroider a single piece and use it as the box itself, or embroider a second piece to create a matching bottom.

4. Tiny Gift Pouch

A small freestanding lace pouch with many possible uses.
Originally designed as a scissor case, it can also hold a tiny gift, jewelry, sewing notions, small treasures or other little objects.
The open filet-lace structure gives it the look of a delicate crochet piece.
For a different effect, the design can also be embroidered on **transparent fabric such as organza**.
